Product testing programs
All of them are free to join. In most cases, the brand picks who receives products based on their profile; Freeosk and Social Nature work differently, as explained below.
Influenster
You fill out your profile and post reviews of products you already use; if you fit the audience for a campaign, you get a box to try and review. The focus leans heavily toward beauty and personal care.
Home Tester Club
Each test has its own application: you choose the product you want to try and, if selected, you publish a full review after using it.
Tryazon
You apply to receive product boxes or to host a get-together with friends, where the brand ships products for everyone to sample. Participation is subject to selection.

BzzAgent
Run by PowerReviews, it invites members to testing campaigns. In exchange for the product, you’re asked to share your opinion, and each campaign is invitation-only.
Freeosk
Rather than shipping by mail, it makes samples available at kiosks inside some US stores. You pick up the sample in person at the store.
Social Nature
It works like a rebate: you buy the featured product, upload a photo of your receipt, and get the amount refunded, according to the rules of each offer. It is not a sample sent by mail.

Quick guide to getting more samples
5 habits that help with any program
1. Sign up for more than one — each program has its own brands and campaigns.
2. Use an email you actually read — invitations and notices arrive there.
3. Review what you receive — in almost all of them, reviewing is a condition for continuing to receive products.
4. Keep your address up to date — that’s where products are shipped.
5. Be wary of fees — the programs on this page don’t ask for a card at signup or charge shipping on samples.
Rules and selection vary by program and may change.
How to choose where to start
Each program suits a different way of participating. Influenster leans heavily toward beauty and personal care. If you’d rather test one product at a time and write a more detailed review, Home Tester Club is a good fit. If you shop at stores with Freeosk kiosks, you can grab samples right there, with no waiting for the mail. And if you like gathering friends, you can apply for Tryazon’s get-together boxes. You don’t have to pick just one: plenty of people keep accounts in two or three at once.
Social Nature is different from the others: you buy the featured product, upload a photo of your receipt, and get your money back under the offer’s rules. It works well for people who were already planning to buy something similar and want to try a new brand at no final cost.
BestDeals app: weekly prize draws on your phone
BestDeals is a free app for iPhone and Android with weekly prize draws. Signing up is simple, with just a name and email, and no card needed. You collect coins through the daily chest, missions, or optional videos and exchange them for draw tickets, with a per-person limit. Coins can’t be bought and have no cash value, and the rules for each country are listed in the app itself. Results are posted in the app, with a notice sent by email. BestDeals is not affiliated with the brands of the prizes.

Things to watch out for
The programs mentioned on this page don’t ask for a credit card at signup. Always check the website address before entering your details, and be suspicious of promises of boxes from famous brands in exchange for payment.
